16 interactive terminals on 24 access points; archives, sound sequences, films, including one about Anne of Brittany; an interactive map with three different systems; a 3D real-time reconstruction of Nantes in 1756 ; a city portrait, a 180° immersive video projection by the artist Pierrick Sorin...: the technological facilities chosen and developed by the team at the Nantes History Museum.

They are used to support and complement the display of the collections. Some of these installations promote the fun of discovery, interactivity or the sense of immersion in a given historical atmosphere. Others provide more information on the display or more focussed contact with a document. They assist visitors to enjoy the living portrait of a city, both educational and fun.

Its application of multimedia as an integral part of the museum experience and as a permanent part of the collections, and its high definition, multilingual services and variety of media make the Nantes History Museum radically innovative in its use of technology for exhibition purposes.
