The picture library's role is to preserve the high definition and resolution pictures of Nantes History museum's collections and of the monument housing it, the Castle of the Dukes of Brittany, as well as to ensure their dissemination to the public and to other cultural institutions. Its photographic archives are continually enriched, notably in times of exhibitions.
The picture library can freely provide, for documentary purpose, low resolution pictures, non reproducible, either printed or in PDF format. It also provides better quality pictures depending on the type of project after acceptance of the terms of use and of the fee schedule, available for download in this page.
In the context .JPG image files are given out with the following technical characteristics:
• a 300 dpi resolution
• a 3000 x 4000 pixel image definition
• a RVB colorimetric profile
